a little hearth for your attention

Focus up.

What is Focus Up?

Focus Up is a minimal, no-signup focus timer built around one idea: most timers ask you to choose a duration up front, which is exactly the decision that stalls people before they even start. Focus Up removes that choice. You just tap the button — the first round is only one minute, low enough that starting never feels like a big commitment.

Why the rounds get longer

Each time you finish a round, the next one grows: one minute, then five, then fifteen, then thirty, then a full hour. This mirrors how real focus works — momentum builds gradually, and a short win makes the next, slightly longer stretch feel achievable instead of intimidating. It's the same principle behind graded exposure and progressive training: start small, let success compound.

A calmer alternative to the Pomodoro timer

Traditional Pomodoro timers use fixed 25-minute blocks with forced breaks, which can interrupt focus right as it's building. Focus Up skips the break-timer altogether and instead lets each session grow with you, so you can stop whenever you like — no lost progress, no rigid structure, just a warm ember-lit ring quietly marking your time.
